NAIF-WV Let's Talk About The Mission.

NAIF-WV is a charity whose volunteers' mission is to raise funds for the local community of members in the Huntington, WV area, who qualify.  Also, NAIF-WV is a 501c3 when funds go to specified grantees for specified reasons from said supporters.  There are grant writers working on memorials workings.  The board that votes on agenda matters meets monthly.

Locally recognized as a continuous native community, the funding of the inflow for college student books of the member college students has been consistently at $3,000 / annual in grants going out.   A word or two about the continuity of the native community:   Since the time of DeSoto documenting the Saura at Tazewell, to the curated evidence of the direct political leadership to present from Ft Henry in the "Countrie of Appomatux"  to Fishing Creek Cherokee War drafting and back to the now WV area, the community has within its leadership legacy the first native male to serve in the US Congress, the 25th Gov of WV whose line goes back to Accomack / Old Cheraw (curated with primary sources),

The WV contingient went home from Epping Forrest Tithable Tax District where Williams and Floyds were posted.  The next time their contingients would meet up was in the War of 1812 where they outed the British in the work as "Pinetucky Regulars" of Andrew Jackson and in the ranks of the supplier of munitions, Choctaw Bill Williams (pre-B.I.A. agent) who passported the Old Cheraw over from their flipped reserves on the Little PeDee south of the Lumbar River.  Together again.  That made for a never ending and ongoing connectivity between the Pinetucky families of Mississippi to this day.

Tracking of the volunteer services hours of the most active members has been analyzed to be 1700 man hours over 60 days in a coordinated measurement data collection period.  This is a team that can get things done.

NAIF-WV is a pan native non-profit whose members and allies across the USA have a strategic mission to help the local recognized group of historically documented and curated lines be supported in their continuous leadership from lines known to be native by the larger community,  back to the vetted and well known first native in the US Congress,  25th Gov of WV, Gov. Floyd whose line goes back to the Apotomax as recorded as Eastern Siouan by Laderer.  This group were allied to the Old Cheraw from times of the Nottoway Era Reserve where they traded at Ft. Henry, only being 30 miles apart as the crow flies. The connections are all still there, documented, curated, memorialized and ceremonialized ongoing.  The other connecting continuous leadership community is from the Cheraw, MS group whose diaspora led them all back together during the War of 1812 service and ongoing.

NAIF WV Strategic Plan

NAIF WV is short for Native American Indian Federation WV, Inc.

David Cremeans, President

NAIF-WV is the subject of some misinformation attempting to trample on this charity.  Let's talk about people calling it a fake tribe.   A. They do not claim to be a state recognized tribe; but, are the non profit arm of their group with tribal support for their bills which would take WV from non recognition of natives to a bill that supports recognition in much the same way that is done in the state of Va.  To do their work, they are transparent and turn in their taxes publically, annually.  Look up their status in the SOS office of WV.

David Cremeans does not claim Cherokee lineage; but, he is bilingual in the language and shares with the  youth in concert with local educators of any and all knowledge. David Cremeans prefers the term, President and Elder because that is what he has stated for his role and work.

The NAIF does not ask for funds.  Every donation is monitored for acceptance toward the stated mission of the group and if the donation is not accepted, it is sent back if not in line with said mission.  The President answers to the Board and the By Laws of their non-profit.
